
Ralph Greenleaf started billiards just two years ago. He has since become a top player in the game. He has already participated in several cushion billiards events and placed in top 10 at the Illinois national 3-cushion-billiards tournament last month. He also regularly visits the Twin Cities' local billiards clubs every month.
Two of the most highly ranked billiards players in Vietnam are Tran Quyet Chien and Nguyen Quyet Nguyen. Both of these are ranked in the world's top ten. Both players are currently ranked in the top eight, with Tran Quyet Chien ranked number seven. Both players are the tournament's champions. Ngo Dinh Nai is ranked 29. Jeremy Bury of France is ranked number 18.
The next tournament in Vietnam will be the 3-Cushion Carom Billiards Continental Cup, which will be held on December 20-22 in Seoul. The tournament will be attended by eight top Vietnamese players. The total prize amount will be around 160,000 USD. A number of events and other events will take place throughout the year in addition to this tournament.

The United States Billiard Association, (USBA), is the official governing organization for carom and billiards. Each year, the National Championship culminates in a series events organized by The USBA. The USA will represent the USA at Pan-American Championship as the National Championship's top two players.
The three Madison 3-Cushion Cushion Billiards Club tournaments were extremely competitive and highly contested. The tournament saw two flights with six players each. The tournament was handicapped. Therefore, the semi finals were won by the five best players in each flight. The top 12 participants will receive $7,000. Bruce Venzke was the tournament director and was sponsored by First Business Bank of Madison. He is a legend in cue games.
The UMB (Union of Billiards and Carom Billiards) sponsored the tournament. This is the official governing body of 3-cushion billiards around the world. UMB also organizes numerous recurring tournaments each season. The UMB Turnier Schedule will display a number of upcoming events.
This tournament was held south of Binh Duong. Eight teams battled each other over three nights. The top two teams progress to the semi-finals while the third and forth teams move on to the quarterfinals. The final round of the tournament will be single elimination. The cash prize for the Las Vegas World Cup 3-cushion Billiards Tournament is $20,000. This is the first time the Vietnamese have sent a representative to the semi-finals.

3-Cushion Billiards Tournament might be new, but it has grown in popularity throughout the world. It was also featured in the animated Disney short film Donald In Mathmagic Land. It was also featured as a character in Seven Billiard Tables 2007, a Spanish film that won the Goya Award.
