A bumper pool is a game of billiards where players are required to sink five balls into their opponent's pocket. While this game is similar to other billiards games in many ways, its rules are much more simple. For example, the rules don't require you to use a cue ball. Instead, strike object balls with the cue. The table does not need a lot space. Bumper tables are compact and can be stored in your garage. You will need only one-third of the space required for a traditional pool table.

Players must choose their ball color before they can play bumper pool. After choosing their ball color, they need to match the bumpers. Red balls will be placed side by side with red bumpers. These will be slightly smaller than the standard American 2 1/4 inch pool balls.

The bumper pool has no break shot. You can bank your shot into the hole, or into the bole if you're looking to make a great shot. Regardless, you still need to pocket all your balls.

The object of bumper-pool is to get your spottedball into the opposite pocket. The spottedball is a special, colored ball with a dot on it. A credit will be given to you for a slick shot when you place this ball in your pocket.

You don't need a cue ball to play this game. Instead, you use an extra-short stick. It is important to use a steel tip. These sticks measure approximately 42 inches in length, making them ideal for home use.

There are only twelve bumpers in a bumper pool. Each bumper has a purpose. Some will slow down your opponent's speeds, while some can help you knock your opponent out. You can also use the right bumpers to help your opponent get his balls in a tight spot.

Bumper pool may be played with four or five players. In the first few turns you will have to make the spotted ball go in the other pocket. Afterward, you'll continue to play whose ball stopped first.
