David Alcaide defeats Shane Van Boening at the Dynamic Billard Veldhoven Open
The Dynamic Billard Veldhoven Open will be ending in its final phase. Shane Van Boening could win the title. American was the Predator World 10 ball Championship champion last year. In the final, he will face Joshua Filler, the World Pool and Billiards Association 9 ball champion. Both men had overcome challenging draw conditions. Filler defeated Gerson Martinez from Peru in the final round, while Van Boening took on Fedor Gorst of Russia. The Americans had led the first phase matches by as many as four games, with Filler going up to 6-2.
Van Boening won the 64-player bracket as the top seed. He spent hours practicing his shot at break in Qatar. This helped him get past his first four opponents. He won them all by a combined score 44-14. He beat Orcollo, and then went on to beat David Alcaide.
