He has taken part in at least three tournaments of cushion billiards and was a top-10 player in the Illinois 3-cushion billiards tourney last month. He has been regularly visiting the Twin Cities billiards club each month.
Nguyen Queyet Nguyen, Tran Quyetchien, and Tran Qyet Nguyen are the top ranked billiards gamers in Vietnam. Both are among the top ten players in the world. Both players currently rank in the top 8, with Tran Quyetchien at number 7. Both players are the tournament's champions. Ngo Dinh Nai is ranked at 29. Jeremy Bury, France is ranked 18.
The next tournament that will be held in Vietnam is the 3-Cushion Carom Billiards Continental Cup which will be held December 20-22 at Seoul. The tournament will see eight top Vietnamese players competing. The total prize amount will be around 160,000 USD. In addition to the tournament, there will be a number of other events and events will be held throughout the year.
The United States Billiard Association or USBA is the official governing authority for carom pool in the United States. The National Championship is one of the many events held each year by the USBA. The USA will be represented by the two top players at the Pan-American Championship.
The three cushion billiards tournaments held at the Madison 3-Cushion Billiards Club were very competitive and well-contested. The tournament had two flights, each with six players. The tournament was handicapped so only the top five players from each flight reached the semi-finals. $7,400 will be awarded to the top 12 players.
