The Dynamic Billard Veldhoven Open is in its final phase, and Shane Van Boening has a chance to win the title. American had won the Predator World-10-ball Championship last year. Joshua Filler is the current World Pool and Billiards Association (9-ball) champion. Filler will be Filler's opponent. Both men had managed to survive difficult draw conditions. Filler beat Gerson Martinez of Peru to reach the final round. Van Boening was facing Fedor Gorst from Russia. Filler was up to 6-2, while the Americans led the first phase matches.
Van Boening was ranked as the top seed in 64-player bracket. He spent hours practicing his break shot in Qatar. He was able to breeze past his four first opponents by practicing his break shot. He beat Orcollo and beat David Alcaide the next round.
