
The Billiard Congress of America is a national organization that promotes billiards and organizes pool players. It is headquartered at Broomfield in Colorado and has an office in Atlanta, Georgia. As an organization, BCA is involved in all facets of the sport, and has been instrumental in the promotion of snooker and 3-Cushion billiards.
The BCA is also a governing body that is tasked with overseeing and providing input on the rules and specifications of games and tournaments. The BCA is responsible for sanctioning tournaments and offers leadership opportunities and educational resources to promote pool.
The BCA is a major promoter of pool and has been an organizer of billiards in the United States for over a century. The BCA promotes pool through education and leadership opportunities. It also supports the next generation of players with scholarships and other programs. The Billiard Congress of America Hall of Fame honors outstanding players and contributers.

The Official Rules and Records Book is a compact rulebook that combines the standardized rules of the World Pool-Billiard Alliance (WPA). It also has a book that details the rules of various other games. The U.S. Open 114.1 Championships promotion is also done by the BCA.
The BCA also promotes and sanctions championship tournaments. It is the governing body for American pocket billiards. Every year, the BCA hosts a trade fair that features a wide range of products including barstools, casual furniture and a variety other cues.
The BCA Pool League has been established by the BCA, which is a sanctioning organization for leagues. The league has over 450 sanctioned leagues in the United States as well eight other countries. It hosts the BCAPL National 8-Ball Championships. There are 22 divisions. BCAPL boasts a membership of over 50,000.
BCA also organizes the annual BCA Summit. The summit includes seminars on a variety billiards topics and home recreation topics. There are also social events to encourage peer relationships. The BCA Expo is an industry trade fair that it has held since 1982. It will unite again with Amusement Expo International, (AEI), during the March 27-30 event in Las Vegas.

Billiard Congress of America Official Rules and Records Book also remains in the BCA. It has rules for all games of billiards, including nine-ball. You can also find a rulebook for games that aren’t open to international competition.
The BCA is not as focused on league play as the Billiards Association of America (APA), but it's one of the largest supporters of the sport. It provides educational resources, leadership opportunities and referral services.
