Dafabet is once more the title sponsor of World Pool Masters. Dafabet, an online sports betting site, is a partner to a number of prominent sports brands, such as Celtic FC (Norway City FC), Warwickshire County Cricket Team and Warwickshire County Cricket Team. Dafabet is also the title sponsor for the British Fast5 Netball All-Stars Championship. It previously served as title sponsor of the World Pool Masters in 2017 and 2019.
Gibraltar will host 2020 World Pool Masters. The tournament will feature 24 of world's top players and a $100,000 prize money. Matchroom Pool Club subscribers will be able to purchase tickets on Monday, Dec 9, while the general public can buy tickets on Tuesday, Dec 10, for the tournament. David Alcaide was last year's champion. He will be trying to defend his title in front of a star-studded field.
Dafabet Masters of World Pool
Dafabet's title sponsorship has been extended for the World Pool Masters. The tournament will be held in Gibraltar from 22 to 25 May 2019. The title sponsor for the World Pool Masters 2017-2018 was Dafabet. Dafabet has also signed other sponsorship deals. In the past, the company has partnered with LaLiga football tournament and also with the Sussex cricket side Durham.

Dafabet World Pool Masters (a nine-ball pool tournament) is an international competition. It is the most prestigious event of its kind and has raised the amount of prize money for each year's winner. The event's prize fund this year was $100,000. The tournament was won by David Alcaide, a Spaniard. Alcaide beat Alexander Kazakis (Greek) by more than twice the length. Niels Feijen defeated Shane Van Boening to reach the final in the previous event. In the first round, David Alcaide was also defeated by the Dutchman.
Joshua Filler
A German pool player from Bonen, Joshua Filler, is making waves in the world of professional pool. Filler, 21 years old, has won the China Open as well as the European 10-ball Pool Championships. He is the youngest player to win either one of these competitions. He not only won the China Open but is also the youngest European Pool Championships winner.
Filler started the sport at age seven. He was already competing in the national level. He represented Europe in the Mosconi Cup at age twenty-five. He was crowned the winner of the China Open 9,-ball tournament, and the European Pool Championship (ten-ball). He won his first ever world championship the next year by defeating Italian Carlo Biado. In addition to winning the World Pool Masters, he also won the Mosconi Cup, the World Cup of Pool, and the US Open Pool Championship.
Lo Hosum
The first Hong Kong pool player to reach the final at World Pool Masters, Lo Ho-sum, has expressed concerns about a recent budget cut. Despite his recent success in pool, he is still relatively unknown beyond his homeland. A wild-card entry to the Gibraltar tournament, Lo won a string of matches to reach the final. In the quarterfinals he beat Shane Van Boening. However, he lost the final to Joshua Filler. Lo's heroics saw the pair tie at six.

The World Pool Masters nine-ball competition is held every other year to find the best pool players. The event was first held in Europe but expanded to include players from other parts of the world. Lo has a very strong professional record and has maintained a good ranking throughout his career.
Sanchez Ruiz
Francisco Sanchez Ruiz defeated Max Lechner 13-10 to win the 2022 US Open Pool Championship. This win places him at the top on the Live Nineball World Rankings. He also receives $50,000 as the first award. Sanchez Ruiz is also the first Spanish player ever to win one of the oldest majors in pool. Sanchez Ruiz also passed Shane Van Boening with this win, pushing him over the $100,000 mark.
Sanchez Ruiz was forced to fight through many tough moments against Filler. He was able to overcome his initial nervousness and win after making two consecutive racks. Sanchez Ruiz was able to win with a buffer of two racks after Filler battled back to take a lead of three points.
